Cloudy – Crochet Pattern

Awesome free crochet pattern for an adorable little cloud. Looks like Kawaii drawing style, to fill your home or nursery with some cuteness!

Materialen

Stitches used (US terminology)

Chain: yarn over and pull the yarn through the loop on the hook.
Slip stitch: insert hook into space/stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop through the stitch/space and through the loop on the hook.
Single crochet: insert the hook into the space or stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. You have 2 loops on the hook now. Yarn over and pull through both loops.
2singlecrochettogether: insert the hook through the front loop of the first stitch, insert the hook through the front loop of the second stitch. Yarn over and pull up a loop. You have 2 loops on the hook now. Yarn over and pull through both loops.

Make 2 parts

Chain 29
Row 1: 2 single crochet in the second chain from the hook. 26 single crochets. 2 single crochet in the last chain [30]
Row 2: chain 1, turn. 2 single crochet in the first single crochet, 28 single crochet, 2 single crochet in the last single crochet [32]
Row 3: chain 1, turn. 2 single crochet in the first single crochet, 30 single crochet, 2 single crochet in the last single crochet [34]
Row 4 t/m 7: chain 1, turn, single crochet in the same stitch, 33 single crochet [34]
Row 8: chain 1, turn, decrease over the first two stitches, 26 single crochet, decrease over the last two stitches x 2 [30]
Row 9: chain 1, turn, slip stitch into the same stitch. Slip stitch into the next 3 stitches, 2 single crochet into the next single crochet, 20 single crochet, 2 single crochet into the next stitch[24]

Leave the last 4 stitches unworked, the slip stitches don´t count for the stitch total.

Row 10: chain 1, turn. 2 single crochet in the first single crochet, 22 single crochet, 2 single crochet into the last single crochet [26]
Row 11: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets in the first single crochet, 24 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the last single crochet [28]
Row 12 to 14: Chain 1, turn, single crochet in each stitch [28]
Row 15: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets together over the first two stitches, 26 single crochets [27]
Row 16: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets together over the first two stitches, 19 single crochets [20]

Leave the last 6 single crochet open

Row 17: Chain 1, 2 single crochets in the same stitch, 17 single crochets, 2 single crochets decreased together [20]
Row 18: Chain 1, turn, slip stitch in the same stitch, 3 slip stitches, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet, 14 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the last single crochet [18] the slip stitches do not count in the count
Row 19: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets in the same stitch, 16 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet [20]
Row 20: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets in the same stitch, 18 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the last stitch [22]
Row 21 to 22: Chain 1, turn, single crochet in the same stitch, 21 single crochets [22]
Row 23: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets decreased together over the first two stitches, 18 single crochets, 2 single crochets decreased together [20]
Row 24: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets decreased together over the first two stitches, 11 single crochets [12] leave 7 single crochets unworked
Row 25: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets decreased together over the first two stitches, 8 single crochets, 2 single crochets decreased together [10]
Row 26: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets decreased together over the first two stitches, 6 single crochets, 2 single crochets decreased together [8]
Row 27: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets decreased together over the first two stitches, 4 single crochets, 2 single crochets decreased together [8]
Row 28: Chain 1, turn, 2 single crochets decreased together x 4 [4] Finish off.

Now we reattach the yarn in the 6 single crochet of Row 15.

Row 1: 2 single crochet decrease, 2 single crochet, 2 single crochet decrease [4]
Row 2: 2 single crochet decrease together x 2 [2]
Fasten off.

Row 1: 2 single crochets together, 3 single crochets, 2 single crochets together [5]
Row 2: 2 single crochets together, 1 single crochet, 2 single crochets together [3] Fasten off.

Place the 12mm safety eyes between row 12 and 13. Count 10 single crochets from the left and 10 single crochets from the right. Embroider a small mouth with black thread.

Now crochet the 2 parts together with single crochets Don’t forget to stuff the cloud while crocheting around it and don’t forget to place the optional music box inside.
