Just Kimberley from @just_kimberley_crochet has asked me to share her lovely crochet patterns with you and I love too because they’re amazing!

She’s made multiple snuggle animals. On this page you can find the English version of the Snuggle Frog! You can make it as a keychain or as a lovey.

Did you know:
– You can finish a snuggle in 1 day?
– It’s an ideal scrap yarn project
– There’s less than half a ball of yarn in one frog
– It makes for a perfect last minute crocheted gift

These crochet patterns have not yet been tested and can contain some small errors. Will you please contact me if that’s the case?

Lots of fun crocheting this cute snuggle frog! These frogs have been made with 100% cotton, 125 meters on 50 grams balls, less than 1 ball.

Keyring loop

With green yarn

Chain 21, slip stitch into second chain and all other chains. Attach between both eyes.

Now we’re going to edge the fleece.

Take a long thread and a darning needle. It doesn’t matter if it’s a blunt point, you can still push it through the thin fleece blanket. With a bit more effort perhaps.

I used the blanket stitch for the edging, with 1 centimeter for each stitch. But how do you know what 1 cm is?

Under materials you saw “Tape (no ductape), a pencil and a ruler/measurement tape.”

We’re going to use those now!

Step 1: grab your tape and put it on the desk
Step 2: put your ruler or measurement tape and measure 1 centimeter (or whatever size you’ve decided upon for your stitching of the edge
Step 3: Put 2 lines on the tape with 1 cm between them
Step 4: put the tape on your thumb

It doesn’t matter what stitching you use. I’ve used the feston/blanket stitch.

If you don’t know that stitch: you put your needle to the back of the fabric, keep a tiny loop, put your needle through the loop from front to back again. Repeat around.

If the blanket is edged, you can put your animal on it. It’s the frog of course in this case, but the pictures are from a bunny. Works the same 😉

Fill the arms a little bit, sew them on the head in a straight line behind the closing ring.

Almost there!

Now we’re going to attach the head to the fleece.
Make sure to attach it very securely.
You also sew the arms together around the fleece.
